To celebrate thanksgiving, ICAN students gathered at the Secondary building and had a chapel together! After singing worship songs, the students were divided into their color teams to learn about the meaning of Thanksgiving. Then the students performed skits to show other teams what thanksgiving looks like. The students had a great start to their four day weekend!
Students, parents, and teachers had a blast at ICAN's Fall Festival! While some people enjoyed eating international foods such as Indian curry, Filipino spring rolls, Korean buchimgae, etc., others had fun playing various games. Thank you teachers and parents for organizing and supporting the event! The elementary and secondary students and teachers gathered together for the Sports day! The Student Council prepared a lot of games such as throwing games, clothes pin tag, obstacle course race, long jump, parachute games, etc... While the elementary students enjoyed playing the games, the secondary students led the games and escorted the elementary. The students also had the chance to interact and bond with their team members by playing "Who Am I?" and hula hoop passing game. At the end, Miss M. Jones announced the winners for the last Spirit Week. The Blue Team won first place, followed by Red, Green, and Yellow Team. Overall, the students had tiring, but very exciting day! The first spirit week was a blast! The students as well as the teachers enjoyed dressing up for the different days. The first day was Monochrome day, so we dressed in black, white, or combination of the two. The second day was Twin/Triplet Day where the students and teachers dressed in matching outfits. On the third day, we came to school with our hair done in a crazy way. We dressed in our regular clothes on the fourth day, only backwards! For the last day, we dressed in our ICAN Team color for Sports Day. All the students and teachers are looking forward for the next Spirit Weeks! ここをクリックして編集します.
The 5-8th grade boys and girls participated in Ms. Harvey, Mrs. Marston, Ms. Blackburn, and Mr Patton's cooking club. After introducing themselves to each other, they worked together to make a healthy tacos salad for dinner. The boys and girls also had a chance to learn about the Bible, and they went home both physically and spiritually satisfied :) To start a new school year, the ICAN teams, RED, BLUE, GREEN, and YELLOW team gathered together to bond and play different games. Most of the games were designed for students to know each other better. We had a great start reuniting as teams. |
